    Manage all financial operations of a geophysical contracting firm.  Prepare and administer corporate budget.  Develop and monitor company‑wide cost controls to maintain strong bottom‑line performance.  Participate in strategic planning, proposal pricing, preparation and review of contractual terms and conditions.  Conduct ongoing review of individual project profitability.

 

April 1989 ‑ March 1994: Manager of Billing, Gilbert/Commonwealth, Inc., Reading, PA.

    Managed corporate contract accounting and billing personnel of a wholly‑owned national engineering and consulting services company of Gilbert Associates, Inc. Reviewed contractual terms and conditions to ensure that billing requirements were in contract accordance. Oversaw corporate project accounting system.  Functioned as financial liaison to the company's Nuclear Division.

 

September 1988 ‑ March 1989: Manager of Internal Audit, Gilbert Associates, Inc., Reading, PA.

    Reported to Director of Internal Audit. Managed the corporate audit function of various subsidiaries. Planned and directed auditing fieldwork. Prepared audit reports for review with management and submission to corporate Audit Committee.

 

June 1986 ‑ September 1988:  Supervising Senior Auditor, KPMG Peat Marwick Main & Co., CPA, Harrisburg, PA.

    Supervised and directed audit engagements for an international public accounting firm. Provided management advisory services such as internal control studies, financial statement projections, and cash budgeting.

 

June 1982 ‑ May 1986: Staff Accountant/Senior Auditor, Laventhol & Horwath, CPA, Providence, RI.

    Assisted in performing audits, reviews, and compilations for an international public accounting firm.
