Enviroscan, Inc. specializes exclusively in nondestructive, nonintrusive, land-, marine-, borehole-, and airborne-geophysical investigations. Geophysics is the science of detecting and mapping underground, underwater, or otherwise subsurface (i.e. hidden) objects or features.

Formed in February 1992, Enviroscan is a Pennsylvania Corporation with offices at 1051 Columbia Avenue in Lancaster Township, Pennsylvania.  In 2001, Enviroscan merged with Marine Search and Survey, a marine geophysics company with whom Enviroscan had collaborated since its inception.   Enviroscan is officially classified as a women business enterprise (WBE) and a socially or economically restricted business (SERB) with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (#078E), the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (certification number 990135ENVIR0SC), and the Maryland Department of Transportation.  The principals and corporate officers of Enviroscan are:

Enviroscan carries general liability, business property, owned/hired vehicle, workers compensation, inland marine, commercial umbrella, and professional liability insurance policies. Insurance certificates are available upon request.

In addition to advanced technical training in geophysics, each of Enviroscan's field staff has completed OSHA 40-hour hazardous waste site workers (HAZWOPER) training, which is maintained with annual 8-hour updates.  Our field and office staffs both maintain current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications.  Selected staff members also have completed courses in OSHA Process Safety Management, UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) Recognition and Avoidance, Mine Safety, Radiation Safety, and Confined Space Entry.
