About Us

Enviroscan specializes exclusively in non-destructive land, marine, borehole, and airborne geophysical surveys and investigations. Geophysics is the science of detecting and mapping underground, underwater, or otherwise subsurface (hidden) objects or features. Our surveys provide critical information about past, present, and future site conditions that cannot be obtained through physical investigations.

Enviroscan was formed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in February 1992. In 2001, Enviroscan merged with Marine Search and Survey, a marine geophysics company that Enviroscan’s founders had worked with for several years. In 2005, Enviroscan acquired Mid-Atlantic Geosciences to provide comprehensive borehole logging and imaging services.

Today, we work with clients throughout the US and beyond to provide the best geotechnical solutions based on the unique goals and parameters of each project.

Fully Insured

Enviroscan carries general liability, business property, owned/hired vehicle, workers compensation, inland marine, commercial umbrella, and professional liability insurance policies. Insurance certificates are available upon request.

Safety Trained

In addition to advanced technical training in geophysics, each of Enviroscan’s field staff has completed OSHA 40-hour hazardous waste site workers (HAZWOPER) training, which is maintained with annual 8-hour updates. Our field and office staffs both maintain current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications. Selected staff members also have completed courses in OSHA Process Safety Management, Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Recognition and Avoidance, Mine Safety, Radiation Safety, and Confined Space Entry.
